Dog tokens took three of the four biggest weekly gainers on Robinhood Chain

Dog-themed meme tokens dominated Robinhood Chain's weekly performance charts, with Dog on Wire (DOW) surging over 10,000%. Meanwhile, Cash Cat leads the broader meme category by market cap as the sector pulls back.

Dog tokens sweep the weekly leaderboard

Dog-themed tokens claimed three of the four top weekly performers on @RobinhoodCrypto's Layer 2 network, underscoring just how quickly speculative activity has taken hold of a chain that launched for very different reasons.

Dog on Wire ($DOW) led the pack with a gain of 10,449.9% over the past seven days. COCO followed with a 362.2% rise and Pooch added 318.4%. All three tokens sit below $500,000 in market capitalisation, making them highly speculative micro-cap plays where thin liquidity can amplify price moves sharply in either direction.

The feline corner of the meme universe held its own. @cashcat_token remains the dominant meme asset on the chain at a market cap of $162.8 million, roughly four times the size of pipedog. Thinking Cat ($HMM) was the only cat token to break into the weekly top four, climbing 2,612.6% to reach a market cap of $21.9 million.

Memes take over a chain built for real-world assets

The meme-driven activity sits at odds with Robinhood's original pitch for the network. Robinhood launched the public mainnet for its Layer 2 blockchain, Robinhood Chain, bringing tokenized stock trading live in more than 120 countries and introducing Robinhood Earn, a decentralized lending product offering an estimated 7% yield on USDG. The network is a permissionless, EVM-compatible Layer 2 built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack, settling to Ethereum and using ETH for gas.

Despite Robinhood's pitch of a regulated venue for tokenized real-world assets, those assets account for only about $12.8 million on the chain, while memecoins and stablecoins dominate activity and market value. Robinhood Chain launched July 1 for real-world assets and tokenized stocks, but crypto users turned it into a memecoin launchpad within days.

The wider Robinhood Chain meme category reflects the volatility of the space. The sector is down 12.1% on the week to a combined market cap of $329.9 million. Robinhood Chain's meme sector is known for its volatility, with the most popular tokens growing exponentially and then crashing over the span of a few days due to speculative trading behavior.

This is not financial advice (NFA). Micro-cap meme tokens carry significant risk and past performance is not indicative of future results.
